Survival Strategies Seminar
On February 2nd, 2009, the Lewis and Clark District had the privilege of hosting a survival seminar by Peter Kummerfeldt. Peter is a highly regarded survival speaker with over 30 years of experience teaching survival techniques in the US Air Force. He retired and started his own company to inform the public about outdoor survival called Outdoorsafe. To find out more about Peter please go to his website at: Outdoorsafe.com. Some of the topics for the evening will included:
- Preparing for survival outdoors before you leave.
- The “Essentials” that you should always have when going outdoors.
- Techniques in building shelters, finding drinking water and fire building.
- Signaling for help.
- Survival myths.
